About
I am a PhD student in the Department of Near Eastern Studies, specializing in classical Arabic literature and Islamic Studies. I have a particular interest in the intersection of theology and literature in the classical Arab world, both in the Islamic and Andalusi Jewish realms, which has led me to focus on the iʿjāz al-Qur’ān discourse as well as significant developments in adapting Arabic poetic conventions into the Hebrew poetic system in the Andalusi and post-Andalusi eras. Also stemming from my interest in stylistic concerns in theological discourse, I maintain a keen interest in medieval and modern approaches to the Qur’ān.
