About
Lorenzo Riano is a postdoc researcher in the robotics group at UC Berkeley.
Previously he was a Research Associate in the Cognitive Robotics Group at the University of Ulster, Londonderry. He obtained his M.Sc. in Computer Science at the University of Napoli ``Federico II'' in 2004 and his Ph.D in Robotics at the University of Palermo with a thesis on ``Robotics Architectures for Indoor and Outdoor Robotic Museum Tour Guides''.
His research interests are in Autonomous Robotics, Machine Learning, Neural Networks, Bayesian reasoning, SLAM and decision-making under uncertainty.
