About
I'm a Ph.D. Candidate in Sociology at the University of California, Berkeley. In the fall I'll be an Assistant Professor of Education at Tufts University, and an Affiliate with the Department of Sociology.
My research and teaching interests are in gender and masculinity, sociology of education, children and youth, and feminist theory. I'm working on various projects that examine masculine and sexual practices among young men.
Another current project (with Nicholas Wilson) investigates corruption in Amateur Athletic Union and grassroots youth basketball. Early in my graduate career I conducted research on female DJs in the Bay Area, and published (with Damon Mayrl) on religion in higher education
